Hello goes a long way. Ask a teen girl how she’s doing, say hi, pay a compliment. Why? For a teen girl a caring adult is an important factor in her success.
Listen Up!
Paying attention goes a long way. Listen with an open mind. Taking notice of what she says lets a teen girl know that you care. Your hello could be the most attention a teen girl gets all day.
Do it Everyday!
All relationships flourish with attention. Take an active interest in her life, find ways you can help her achieve her goals.

Inspired by the issues presented in the novel Push and the movie Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, the Crittenton Youth Advisory Board: Our Voices Affect Our Choices surveyed 99 teen women in Crittenton programs and found that the one thing we can do to help teen girls who are ignored, unheard and abused is talk to a teen girl.
